PlayFountain International B.V. is a manufacturer of the product PlayFountain: an innovative mobile play fountain. Privacy is very important to us. In this Privacy and Cookie Policy, we explain which personal data we process via our website. In addition, we explain for what purposes we use personal data, how we protect it, and how long we store it. We process personal data in accordance with the legal regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Which personal data (can) we process?

PlayFountain International B.V. can process the following personal data if you use our products and or/services or provided the data yourself.

  • Company name

  • First and last name

  • E-mail address

  • Business and postal address

  • Telephone number (landline and mobile)

  • Chamber of Commerce number

  • Social media account names

  • Other personal data that you actively provide

It is not the intention of our website and/or service to collect data about website visitors who are under 16 years of age. Unless they have the consent of their parents or guardians. However, we cannot check whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in their children’s online activities in order to prevent data about children from being collected without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal data about a minor without such consent, then please contact us at info@playfountain.com and we will then delete this information.

How do we get your personal data?

We have obtained the above personal data from yourself or in public registers, such as the trade register of the Chamber of Commerce, or other open sources.

Why do we process your personal data?

Depending on the relationship we have with a company or person, we process different personal data for different purposes. If you leave a comment or question on our website, such as via the contact form, or you have contacted us by phone, e-mail, WhatsApp or social media, we have received data from you. We process this data to be able to:

  • respond to your message

  • send you our newsletter

  • call or e-mail you if this is required to provide our services

  • inform you about changes to our products and services

PlayFountain International B.V. also processes personal data if we are legally required to do so, such as data that we need for our tax return. In some cases, we have a legitimate interest in processing data. We have weighed our interest, for example the interest in safeguarding our own evidence and legal position, against the privacy interests of the person whose personal data we process on this basis. We will not process more data than is necessary to achieve our goal and to safeguard our legitimate interests.

How long do we retain your personal information?

PlayFountain International B.V. retains your personal data no longer than is strictly necessary to realise the objectives for which your data has been collected. We use the statutory retention period of 7 years for the entire customer file. The retention period for company data regarding quotation requests (not customer) is 2 years after the last contact.

Do we share your data with third parties?

PlayFountain International B.V. does not sell your data to third parties and only provides it to them when it is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to fulfil a statutory obligation. We enter into a processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. In accordance with GDPR compliancy, PlayFountain B.V. uses the following computer programmes or systems for which a data processing agreement has been concluded with these external organisations:

  • Microsoft Office 365: various applications including Outlook, SharePoint and OneDrive. This data is hosted and stored on Microsoft servers.

  • Dopbox: application to store data in the cloud. This data is hosted and stored on Dropbox servers.

  • Website hosting: data on website www.playfountain.com are hosted and stored on the servers of our website host.

  • Squarespace: data you submit through the website can be stored on Squarespace servers.

  • Mailchimp: any newsletters sent using Mailchimp your name and e-mail address are automatically saved on the Mailchimp servers.

  • Local storage: data stored on our local secure server, backups are encrypted and periodically stored offsite.

How do we protect your data?

We have taken appropriate organizational and technical measures to protect personal data against loss or other forms of unlawful processing. These measures ensure a level of security appropriate to the data we process. If you believe that your data is not properly protected or if there are indications of misuse then please contact our customer service or via info@playfountain.com.

How can I view, modify or delete my data?

We are happy to inform you about the rights you have and the influence you can exercise on the processing of your personal data. You have the right to:

  • request us to correct or update data;

  • request us to remove data from our database;

  • request us to provide a copy of the personal data we have processed;

  • revoke permission to process the data;

  • object to the processing of data with us;

  • file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, if you think that we are processing data unlawfully.

Cookies

Cookies are small (temporary) files that are sent by our website and placed on peripherals by your browser. The information stored in the cookie can be sent back to our website when you visit the website again.
